Audley H. Deidrick — President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Deidrick joined the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) in 2005 in the capacity of Vice President Finance. In subsequent years, the Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Human Resource Development & Administration (HRDA) departments were added to his portfolio responsibilities. Prior to joining the AAJ, he held senior- level financial positions in various organizations, spanning industries such as manufacturing, insurance and ground transportation. He also serves on the Board of the several Public and Private Sector entities – namely Transport Authority, Palisadoes Co-op Credit Union, Sweet River Abattoirs and Jamaica Livestock.

In his preceding capacity as Vice President Finance/ICT/HRD&A, Mr. Deidrick had full responsibility for the financial affairs of the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) and its subsidiary NMIA Airports Limited (NMIAL) – Operator of the Norman Manley International Airport. His span of accountabilities also encompassed the Ian Fleming International Airport (IFIA) and the three domestic aerodromes (Tinson Pen, Ken Jones and Negril). AAJ also exercises oversight responsibility for the Sangster International Airport (SIA) in Montego Bay, which is operated by MBJ Airports Limited (a private entity) under a concession agreement.

Since joining the Airports Authority of Jamaica, Mr. Deidrick has been instrumental in the completion of the major capital development programmes that have been undertaken at both major airports (SIA and NMIA) and the recently upgraded IFIA; particularly as it relates to the planning, sourcing, negotiation of financing and budget management to ensure completion within the respective budgets for these programmes. He is credited for steering the Finance team in the implementation of exceptional budget management and other operational best practices to effectively curtail costs, increase revenues and propel the financial growth of the organization.

A proud Clarendon College alumnus, Mr. Deidrick subsequently completed undergraduate studies for a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (UTECH) and a Master’s Degree in Finance from the Mona School of Business, UWI. He also attained the prestigious designation of International Airport Professional (IAP) from the Airports Council International (ACI) / International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) sponsored Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP).

Mr. Deidrick is an avid enthusiast of football, athletics and cricket.
